My name is Nathan Pearce. I am a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania. In the spring of 2010, I completed my undergraduate work at Clarion, receiving a B.S. in secondary education with a focus in social studies as well as a Pennsylvania Department of Education certification in social studies (grades 7-12). Beginning the next fall, I entered into Clarion's Master of Education program with a concentration in technology and I also enrolled into the Instructional Technology Specialist Certification (ITSC) program, both of which were completed in the spring of 2012.
Along with my graduate studies, I worked as a graduate assistant, and later became the technology integration specialist, at the Jefferson County History Center (JCHC) in Brookville, Pennsylvania. My duties at the History Center included various forms of technology integration within the organization as well as extensive exhibit and resource design and development. In addition to my work at the JCHC, I am have also served with AmeriCorps in two settings. During the 2012-2013 school year, I taught 7th grade English and Social Studies at Virginia Beach Middle School in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Currently, I am working as a Classroom Technology Coach with VARtek Services, Inc. in the Pine-Richland School District. |
